I recently purchased "The Sea of Miracles" By Amy Oscar. I thoroughly enjoy the non commercial angel books, the ones that just lay it out for you and don't con you into buying attunements and dvd courses and all that nonsense. (if you have one of these books that says you need to buy more to talk to you angels or guides or... just bin it don't even donate, it just bin it ok?)
I'd been following Amy on Twitter for awhile allready and watched the tweets as she launched her book (only to be broke and not be able to buy it yet) and then last week the oppertunity was there and I snapped up an ebook.
I have started reading and early on in the book she suggest you simply ask for a sign and open yourself up to what the angels will present to you.

It started with me opening the chicken run the next morning after reading that chapter and having said (in a slightly challenging tone perhaps) bring it on , give me a sign. There right in fron of the rundoor was a little pile of feathers, my heart started racing and thoughts of a fox crossed my mind, the girls where all happy on their perch and my only white girl had no visible featherloss I kinda shrugged it of and didn't think about it anymore.
Then lunchtime I went to call the boys in for their food and by the door where several more white feathers, I picked them up and had a look at them, they where perfect not a mark on them, too perfect perhaps. I shrugged it of again until I went to hang out the laundry where perfect little feathers where pinned into hubbies poloshirt, how was it possible for them to look so perfect if they just came out of the washingmachine? And then it dawned on me that this was my sign! Then at night when the boys where tucked into bed and I was straightening up the bathroom my youngest walked in holding a white feather (we have anti allergy bedding no feathers here) "I needs to give this to you mummy" and returned back to bed.

I keep finding feathers big and small and have started a little collection on my altar, keeping them hanging in a little crocheted hammock as my eldest calls it. Its rather comforting to have them there.
